Borderlands 4 Infinite Damage Build Insta-Kills Bosses

Author : George Update : Oct 07,2025

Borderlands 4 players have uncovered an overpowered infinite damage build capable of shredding bosses within seconds—even on maximum difficulty settings.

As showcased by YouTuber NickTew and reported by PC Gamer, this game-breaking Vex build trivializes Borderlands 4's most formidable enemies. With its viral spread across the community, fans anticipate Gearbox will inevitably nerf the strategy, prompting NickTew's advice: "Exploit it while you can."

The build's core requires the Vampiric Vivisecting Throwing Knife equipped with the Penetrator Augment. Landing a successful hit grants five seconds of guaranteed critical strikes against the target.

The game-changing mechanic comes from bleed stacking—each damage tick from the bleeding effect automatically counts as a critical hit. Every. Single. Time.

While devastating for any class, Vex gains exceptional synergy through her Bloodletter passive, enabling guns and skills to potentially inflict bleeds that scale with initial damage dealt.

Vex's Contamination passive amplifies the chaos by boosting status effect application chance to 100% on criticals, creating an infinite bleed loop. The sequence? Throw the knife, land one heavy attack, then witness the damage numbers exponentially climb as the boss hemorrhages.

NickTew demonstrates the build's absurd potency by obliterating a boss at Ultimate Vault Hunter Level 5 (350% enemy HP buff) using merely a level 32 weapon—a feat that normally requires endgame gear.

The only hurdle? This specific augmented knife is exceptionally rare (never sell early-game loot!). Targeted farming at Splashzone may be necessary, but once obtained, the build becomes instant endgame material.

Note: Co-op functionality appears bugged with this build—causes remain unknown.

While Gearbox will undoubtedly address this, creative director Graeme Timmins emphasizes avoiding knee-jerk balancing. The community largely agrees the build warrants nerfing, as its exponential damage scaling clearly circumvents intended game mechanics.

"This isn't just OP—it invalidates core gameplay," remarked one YouTube commenter. "The penetrator/bleed interaction creates uncontrollable damage multiplication, clearly an oversight in playtesting."

Gearbox currently juggles multiple priorities: performance optimization (amid Randy Pitchford's public commentary), console FOV implementation, and upcoming post-launch content development.
