Teaser for a New Digimon Card Game Project

Coinciding with Bandai Card Games Fest 24-25, which took place in Japan on March 14–15, Bandai has unveiled plans for a new Digimon Card Game project. On March 16, the official Digimon TCG Twitter (X) account shared a teaser trailer suggesting that this project will be a mobile app or game.

The 14-second animated clip shows Renamon picking up a mobile device and being pulled inside the phone. Many fans are speculating that this could signal the arrival of an official Digimon TCG mobile app—a feature players have requested since the game’s initial release. This move could attract more players by making the game more accessible, much like the mobile versions of Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon TCG Pocket.

Additional information about the project is set to be announced at the upcoming DIGIMON CON 2025.

DIGIMON CON 2025 Details

The livestream for DIGIMON CON 2025 is scheduled for March 20 at 12 PM JST (March 19 at 7 PM PST / 10 PM EST). It will be broadcast live on Digimon JP’s official YouTube channel.

During the event, attendees can expect news covering Digimon games, anime, toys, card games, comics, and more. According to the official Digimon website, the program will include the premiere of a 25th-anniversary commemorative PV for the Digimon anime titled "DIGIMON ADVENTURE-BEYOND-," along with the announcement of a "GODZILLA VS DIGIMON" collaboration product. Fans can also look forward to updates on DIGIMON COMIC titles, 25th-anniversary merchandise for "DIGIMON ADVENTURE 02," and a special DIGIMON CON concert.

As previously noted, the Digimon TCG segment will cover the latest product updates and offer more insights into the new project. There will also be news on the upcoming game Digimon Story: Time Stranger. This marks the first major update since the game was officially announced during the PlayStation State of Play event in February 2025.
