inZOI, a Korean Sims-Like, Delayed to March 2025
Krafton's highly anticipated life simulator, inZOI, gets a new release date: March 28, 2025. This delay, announced by director Hyungjin "Kjun" Kim on the game's Discord server, prioritizes delivering a polished and complete gaming experience.
The decision stems from overwhelmingly positive player feedback gathered during character creator demos and playtests. Kjun likened the extended development time to raising a child, emphasizing the commitment to providing players with the best possible experience. He stated that the team recognizes the "responsibility…to provide players with the most complete experience possible."
This delay, while potentially frustrating for eager fans, reflects Krafton's dedication to quality. The character creator alone attracted 18,657 concurrent players during its brief availability on Steam before its removal on August 25, 2024. Data from SteamDB supports this impressive engagement.
inZOI, initially announced in Korea in 2023, aims to stand out as a leading life simulator, rivaling The Sims with its advanced customization and realistic graphics. The delay positions inZOI to avoid the pitfalls of rushed releases, unlike the recently cancelled Life By You. However, it also places inZOI in direct competition with Paralives, another life simulator slated for a 2025 release.
While the wait extends to March 2025, Krafton assures fans that the extra time will result in a game worthy of their anticipation, promising an immersive experience for "years to come." inZOI intends to go beyond simply competing with The Sims, aiming to establish a unique identity within the life simulation genre. Whether managing a Zois' career or enjoying virtual karaoke, inZOI promises a rich and engaging experience.
