Marvel Snap Introduces New Modes in Fantastic Four Update

Second Dinner Studios has launched an exciting new season for Marvel Snap, taking players on a cosmic adventure featuring Marvel's first family. The Fantastic Four-themed update arrives alongside promotional timing for The Fantastic Four: First Steps movie.

A Comic Book-Inspired Experience

While tying into the movie release, this Marvel Snap season primarily draws inspiration from classic Fantastic Four comics. All founding members join the game along with innovative new gameplay modes.

New Content Breakdown

The season introduces Mr. Fantastic First Steps as a playable card with unique mechanics. This Reed Richards variant allows players to modify cards in hand each turn - either reducing their cost by 1 or boosting power by 2.

The Fantasticar enters as a Super Premium Series 4 reward, granting +2 power to all cards affected by end-of-turn abilities when activated.

Additional Character Highlights

Series 5 introduces H.E.R.B.I.E. - the lovable robot that cycles through different abilities each turn. These range from energy boosts to power enhancements and even beneficial rock generation.

Fan-favorite Human Torch steadily grows stronger each turn and features a unique one-time power doubling ability when filling locations. Meanwhile, The Thing gains power turn-by-turn and can eliminate weaker enemy cards on full boards.

Limited-Time Additions

Special events introduce Mole Man (who generates rocks while disrupting decks) and Mad Thinker (who grows stronger when maintaining full hands).

Release Schedule & Game Modes

The update rolls out new characters throughout July:

• Mister Fantastic First Steps, Fantasticar, and H.E.R.B.I.E. available now
• Human Torch arrives July 15th
• Kid Omega and Cobra join July 16th
• The Thing lands July 22nd
• Limited-time characters Mole Man and Mad Thinker debut July 24th
• Invisible Woman appears July 29th

Two special modes debut:

• Returning High Voltage (July 17-21) offers exclusive cosmetics
• New Grand Arena (July 24 - August 7) lets players choose champions from eight Marvel icons

Additional Updates

The update includes two new locations:

• Rocket Pad boosts winning side power post-turn 4
• Reed's Lab generates bonus energy for filled locations

The season also introduces fresh cosmetic collections and card albums.
