NieR: Automata - Guide to Abundant Machine Arm Acquisition
This guide details how to acquire Machine Arms in NieR: Automata, a crucial crafting material for weapon and pod upgrades. Early acquisition can significantly boost your character's strength.
Quick Links
Obtaining Machine Arms early presents a challenge. While they drop from defeated small machines, the drop rate is significantly higher with higher-level enemies.
Farming Machine Arms
The most efficient early-game farming location is the pit where you first encounter Adam after Chapter 4. Access this area via the Desert: Housing Complex fast travel point and proceed into the ruins. This pit continuously respawns small machines, providing a consistent, albeit low-yield, source of Machine Arms. The respawn rate outweighs the low individual drop chance. This location is also beneficial for farming Titanium Alloy. Using a Drop Rate Plug-In Chip offers a minor improvement.
