Monster Hunter Wilds Surpassed 8 Million Units in 3 Days
Monster Hunter Wilds Is Now Capcom’s Fastest Selling Game
Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has set a new record for Capcom, selling over 8 million units within just three days of its release. Capcom proudly announced this achievement on their official website, marking MH Wilds as the fastest-selling title in the company's history.
According to SteamDB, MH Wilds enjoyed a successful launch, reaching over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam despite receiving mixed reviews. Capcom credits this success to their strategic efforts, including extensive promotion to a wide audience, participation in global video game events, and an open beta test that allowed players to experience the game firsthand.
Latest Update Addressed Game-Breaking Bug
In response to player feedback, Capcom has released an update for MH Wilds, addressing several critical bugs. On March 4, 2025, Monster Hunter's official support account, Monster Hunter Status, announced via Twitter (X) that the hot fix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 is now available on all platforms.
This update resolves issues such as the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features not unlocking when criteria are met, the Monster Field Guide not being accessible, and a significant game-breaking bug that halted story progression at Chapter 5-2 "A World Turned Upside Down," among others. Players are required to update the game to continue playing online.
However, some bugs remain unaddressed, including a network error triggered by firing an SOS flare after a quest starts, and Palico's blunt weapon attacks failing to inflict stun and exhaust damages. These multiplayer-related issues are expected to be fixed in a forthcoming patch.
