For instance, during the global launch, the simultaneous Suomi and Ullrid banners shared a pity counter. Pulling on either banner increased the counter for both. If you were close to pity on the Suomi banner, you could switch to the Ullrid banner and have a 50/50 chance of obtaining Ullrid immediately.
