Elden Ring Mod Removes Iconic Messaging System

Elden Ring: Nightreign will omit the in-game messaging feature previously seen in FromSoftware titles. Project director Junya Ishizaki clarified this decision, citing the game's shorter play sessions. With each Nightreign session lasting approximately forty minutes, there's insufficient time for players to effectively utilize the messaging system.

Ishizaki stated, "With sessions lasting roughly forty minutes, there isn't enough time to send your own messages or read other people's messages, therefore we disabled the messaging feature."

This departure from FromSoftware's established tradition of message-based interaction is noteworthy. While this feature enhanced player engagement in previous games, the developers deemed it unsuitable for Nightreign's design.

To maintain the integrity of the original Elden Ring, Nightreign features a separate narrative. However, it retains the signature Elden Ring atmosphere and complexity, offering a fresh adventure with unique challenges and encounters.
