The wait is over—Lost Records: Bloom and Rage, from the creators of Life is Strange, has arrived
Don't Nod, the French studio behind Life is Strange, has launched the initial chapter of their new narrative adventure game. Players can currently access "Tape 1," with "Tape 2" set for free release to all purchasers on April 15th.
Initially unveiled in 2023, the game centers on a close group of friends fractured during the summer of 1995. Twenty-seven years later, the specters of that summer resurface, unleashing unforeseen and terrifying repercussions.
Drawing thematic inspiration from titles like It, Yellowjackets, and I Know What You Did Last Summer, the game expertly weaves together nostalgic elements with a chilling psychological thriller narrative. The game is structured in two parts – "Bloom" and "Rage" – with only the first half, "Bloom," available as of February 18th.
The second part, "The Tape," will debut on April 15th. Its March release date was postponed to allow for further refinement.
The review embargo has been lifted, and OpenCritic currently shows an average score of 74/100, indicating a promising start for this captivating mystery.
