Pokemon TCG Pocket Fans Request Overhaul of One Feature
Pokemon TCG Pocket's Community Showcase Faces Player Criticism
Players are expressing dissatisfaction with the visual presentation of the Community Showcase feature in Pokemon TCG Pocket. While appreciating the feature's concept, many find the display of cards alongside sleeves underwhelming and visually unappealing due to excessive empty space.
Pokemon TCG Pocket faithfully recreates the physical Pokemon trading card game experience on mobile, allowing free-to-play access to pack openings, collection building, and player battles. The game largely mirrors its physical counterpart, including a public showcase for players' card collections.
Despite its popularity, the Community Showcase has drawn considerable negative feedback. A Reddit thread highlights the primary complaint: cards are displayed as small icons beside their sleeves, rather than within them, a presentation many consider visually deficient.
Community Demands Showcase Improvement
Pokemon TCG Pocket's Community Showcase allows players to display cards with various themed sleeves featuring original Pokemon artwork. Players earn in-game tokens based on the number of "likes" their showcased cards receive.
However, the small, corner-placed card icons within the sleeve design have sparked widespread criticism. Some players accuse developer DeNA of shortcuts in the feature's development, while others suggest the design aims to encourage closer examination of each display.
Currently, no updates to address these visual concerns are planned. However, future updates will introduce highly anticipated virtual card trading functionality, enhancing the game's social aspects.
