Platformer Puzzle 'Cato' Features a Cat With Butter-Toasted Attitude

A charming new game, Cato: Buttered Cat, is launching on Android! The name itself is a playful combination of "cat" and "toast," perfectly reflecting the game's quirky premise. Ever wondered what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The developers did, and the result is a perpetually spinning, gravity-defying feline spectacle!

Originating from the 2022 BOOOM Gamejam competition, Cato: Buttered Cat, developed by Team Woll, has evolved from a competition entry into a full-fledged game. Currently available on Steam for PC, it's soon to grace Android and other platforms. While the Google Play Store listing isn't yet live, you can pre-register via the official TapTap page for the Android version.

Gameplay:

Cato: Buttered Cat is a puzzle platformer where you control a cat and a piece of buttered toast. Their combined abilities are key to solving puzzles, overcoming enemies, and exploring whimsical worlds.

The game boasts:

• Five unique worlds brimming with quirky contraptions.
• Over 200 levels, including engaging side quests.
• A captivating storyline revealed through scattered clues.
• 30 distinct outfits to customize your feline companion.

The unique gameplay mechanic involves the cat's agility and the toast's projectile capabilities. The cat can climb and run, while the toast can be launched to help the cat reach otherwise inaccessible areas.
