Palworld's Development and Future Platforms
In a recent interview, Mizobe discussed the difficulties of bringing Palworld to the Switch, citing demanding PC specifications. While discussions regarding new platforms are ongoing, no concrete announcements have been made. The possibility of Palworld appearing on PlayStation, other consoles, or mobile devices remains open. Earlier statements confirmed explorations into expanding the game's reach to additional platforms. However, Pocketpair has not engaged in buyout discussions with Microsoft.
Expanding Palworld's Multiplayer Experience
Mizobe also expressed his vision for enhancing Palworld's multiplayer aspects. An upcoming arena mode, described as an experiment, will pave the way for future PvP experiences. His ambition is to incorporate elements reminiscent of popular survival games like Ark and Rust, known for their challenging environments, resource management, and extensive player interaction, including alliances and PvP combat.
Palworld, a creature-collecting and survival shooter, has enjoyed significant success since its launch, selling 15 million copies on PC within its first month and attracting 10 million players on Xbox Game Pass. A major update, including the Sakurajima update (featuring a new island and a PvP arena), is scheduled for release shortly.
