Monster Hunter Wilds March 2025: Title Update 1 Announcements
Capcom recently held an exciting Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase, revealing a wealth of new content coming to the latest installment in the beloved Monster Hunter series. Alongside the details of Title Update 1, the showcase also unveiled new cosmetic DLC, surprise additions, and a glimpse of the next Title Update.
Set to launch on April 4, 2025, Title Update 1 will be a free update for all Monster Hunter Wilds players. Alongside this update, a variety of both free and paid DLC will become available. This update introduces a new hub that will enhance the social aspect of the game, alongside new armor sets and cosmetic options to spice up your hunter's appearance. Additionally, new fearsome monsters will challenge players, ensuring that the thrill of the hunt remains ever-present.
We now have a clear roadmap for the upcoming update in Monster Hunter Wilds. Which part of the update excites you the most? Share your thoughts with us below!
A New Hub For Hunters ---------------------The showcase kicked off with a detailed look at the new endgame hub for hunting parties, called the Grand Hub. This new area is brimming with activities such as feasting together, arm wrestling, and enjoying nighttime performances by the Diva. Players can also engage in the fun Barrel Bowling mini-game, which offers vouchers as rewards for various in-game activities.
To unlock the Grand Hub, players need to reach Hunter Rank 16 and then speak with Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.
Mizutsune Arrives
A highlight of Title Update 1 is the introduction of Mizutsune, the bubbly monster known for its swift tail strikes and water jets. Players reaching Hunter Rank 21 or above can head to the Scarlet Forest and speak with Kanya to initiate the quest to hunt Mizutsune. Successful hunts will yield materials for crafting new gear, adding to the excitement of this update.
Additional Hunts on the Way
A new Event Quest will introduce the formidable Arch-tempered Rey Dau to Monster Hunter Wilds. This challenge is a step above typical Tempered fights and is available to players who have reached Hunter Rank 50. Conquering this beast will unlock new armor sets.
Zoh Shia, previously encountered only once during the main storyline, will now be accessible through new quests for players at Hunter Rank 50 or above, allowing them to craft new armor from its materials.
Arena Quests
Speedrun enthusiasts will find a new challenge in the form of Arena Quests, designed for those looking to compete for the fastest clear times. Both Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests will be available, with pendants awarded for participation and achievements. These can be accessed through the counter in the new Grand Hub.
Change Alma's Outfit
Alma, one of the game's hardest-working handlers, is now getting some much-deserved cosmetic options. Players can change Alma's attire through an appearance menu at the camp, with one new outfit available for free. Completing a certain side mission will also allow players to swap out Alma's glasses, adding a personal touch to her look.
More DLC is on the way
Alongside Title Update 1, a mix of free and paid DLC will be released. Classic gestures from previous Monster Hunter games will be available for free, while the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1, accessible through the store or included with the Cosmetic DLC Pass or Premium Deluxe Edition, will offer additional cosmetic options. New stickers and looks for Alma are among the exciting additions.
More Event Quests and Seasonal Events
Further Event Quests and Seasonal Events are set to enrich the game. During these events, the Grand Hub will transform, and the available meals will change. Limited-time equipment, gestures, decorations, and more will be up for grabs. The first Seasonal Event, the Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, begins on April 23, featuring pink cherry blossoms and new decor. Capcom has confirmed that most past events and Event Quests will return in the future.
The Roadmap Ahead
Here's a glimpse at the rollout of Title Update 1 and its associated content over the coming months. Title Update 1 will arrive on April 3 for U.S. players, with the Blossomdance starting on April 22. On April 29, the challenging Arch-tempered Rey Dau will be introduced, followed by additional features and a Capcom collaboration by the end of May.
Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2
The showcase concluded with a tease of Title Update 2, expected this summer. While no specific release date was given, a brief image hinted at the possible return of Lagiacrus, the underwater leviathan, promising more thrilling encounters.
