NetEase Games has announced a robust post-launch content plan for Marvel Rivals, promising a new hero every six weeks. This commitment, revealed by Creative Director Guangyun Chen in an interview with Metro, ensures a steady stream of fresh characters alongside seasonal updates.

Each three-month season will be divided into two halves, each introducing a new playable hero. Chen emphasized the goal of continuously enhancing the player experience and maintaining community engagement.

"Every season will bring fresh seasonal stories, new maps, and new heroes. We'll be splitting each season in half," Chen stated. "A new hero will launch with each half-season. Our aim is to constantly improve the experience and keep our community excited."

This ambitious schedule leaves players eagerly anticipating future character reveals. Season 1: Eternal Night Falls successfully launched with Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman in the first half, followed by The Thing and the Human Torch in the second. Maintaining this level of excitement and introducing popular characters remains a significant challenge.

While the initial roster boasts well-known heroes like Wolverine, Magneto, Spider-Man, Jeff the Landshark, and Storm, many other Marvel characters are highly anticipated. Rumors suggest Blade's appearance in Season 2, with fans also hoping for Daredevil, Deadpool, and additional X-Men. NetEase's continued success with Marvel Rivals suggests they are committed to expanding the roster.

Season 1 also included substantial balance adjustments and gameplay refinements, with more updates planned. For further news on Marvel Rivals, explore articles detailing the Invisible Woman's use against bots, the Hero Hot List, and the use of mods despite potential bans.
