NetEase Games has released the patch notes for Marvel Rivals version 20250327, setting the stage for an exciting launch of Season 2 in mid-April. Marvel fans and gamers can look forward to a comprehensive update that promises to enhance their gameplay experience this Thursday, March 27, at 9am (UTC+0), with no server downtime required.

This latest update for Marvel Rivals Season 1 brings a variety of hero fixes and map adjustments to keep the game fresh and engaging. Players will be able to dive right in to experience changes to beloved characters like Wolverine and Iron Fist as soon as the update goes live.

One of the standout features of this update is the inclusion of a special April Fool's Easter egg within the Galacta's Cosmic Quest board game event. This exclusive reward is a "hidden twist surprise" for players who have already completed the activity. NetEase has kept the details under wraps, adding an extra layer of excitement for players eager to uncover what this surprise entails.

The update also addresses various technical issues, such as reducing clipping through maps and fixing a glitch on the Hydra Charteris Base map that previously caused teammates to be revived outside the play area. This ensures a smoother and more immersive gaming experience for all players.

As Season 1 of Marvel Rivals draws to a close, this update introduces numerous fixes to hero-related glitches, specifically targeting heroes like Wolverine, Iron Fist, Iron Man, Loki, Doctor Strange, Magneto, and Human Torch. Wolverine, in particular, receives significant attention with improvements to his Feral Leap and Ultimate abilities, ensuring they function more reliably.

Looking ahead, Marvel Rivals Season 2 is slated to launch on April 11, 2025. Speculation among the community is rife, with many anticipating a focus on Marvel's Hellfire Gala. This could potentially introduce new characters like Blade and Emma Frost, in line with NetEase's commitment to adding at least one new hero per half-season.

Fixes

All Platforms

General

1. Resolved an issue in Custom Game where a disconnected player's character would still appear on the Like page during match settlement.

Maps and Modes

1. Fixed several terrain issues that could cause characters to sometimes become stuck or clip into strange areas.

2. Squashed a glitch in the Hydra Charteris Base map where Rocket Raccoon's B.R.B. could sometimes revive teammates outside the play area due to terrain changes.

Heroes

1. Wolverine's Terrifying Pounce: Resolved an issue where the Hulk could sometimes have abnormal behavior after being catapulted into a terrain KO by Wolverine's Feral Leap. Now, the big guy gets the proper beatdown without any off-script environmental stunts!

2. Iron Fist's Wall-Climbing Whimsy: Fixed a glitch in Practice Range where Iron Fist wall-climbing was beyond expectations. The master of martial arts can now keep his acrobatic feats on track!

3. Iron Man's Teleportation Tangle: In Sanctum Sanctorum, Iron Man use of Hyper-Velocity followed immediately by portal entry could occasionally throw a wrench in the works—resulting in the ability to misfire and some off-color special effects. Now, Iron Man's high-tech strategy is as sleek as ever, letting him jet in and out as he pleases.

4. Loki-Doctor Strange's Forbidden Tech: Fixed an issue in Doom Match where Loki's transformation into Doctor Strange allowed the use of the forbidden Pentagram of Farallah. This minds-warping mix-up has been vanquished.

5. Magneto's Magnetic Moments: Resolved an issue in the post-match where Magneto's MVP could sometimes display some bizarre, offbeat visuals. The master of magnetism now commands his moments with true polar precision.

6. Wolverine's Ultimate with Pinpoint Precision: Fixed a snag in Wolverine's Ultimate Ability where, under high network latency, foes sent flying and slammed into the ground could sometimes end up in the wrong location. Now, every Last Stand lands exactly where it should.

7. Human Torch's Fiery Focus: Addressed a rare bug where the Human Torch's Primary Attack would sometimes miss its target entirely, leaving his incendiary prowess a little less scorching. With this fix, every burst of flame burns as brilliantly as intended—ensuring his heat is always on target!

Console

1. Eliminated a bug that sometimes caused the focus to unpredictably shift to earlier messages when opening the chat window.
