Limbus Company: Guide to Acquiring Lunacy
Lunacy is the premium currency in Limbus Company, essential for acquiring new Identities and EGOs. This currency is the key to unlocking the game's exciting gacha system, and amassing a substantial amount of Lunacy will help you obtain all those coveted character variants.
In Limbus Company, the way you earn Lunacy follows a familiar pattern seen in many gacha games. Initially, you'll find yourself showered with Lunacy, but as you progress further in your account, the rate at which you acquire it will diminish noticeably.
How to Get Lunacy in Limbus Company
For newcomers, the most effective way to accumulate Lunacy is by diving into the main storyline. Completing each chapter rewards you with approximately 390 Lunacy, and achieving an EX rating on enough missions within a chapter can earn you an additional 260 Lunacy. To secure an EX clear, you need to meet all the EX objectives specified for each mission. The first time you achieve an EX clear on a mission, you're awarded an extra 40 Lunacy, so strive to meet those objectives.
First-time completions of Luxcavation stages also grant Lunacy, but these rewards are one-time only.
Once you've exhausted all available story quests, your Lunacy earnings will begin to taper off. At this point, your best strategies for obtaining Lunacy include:
- Completing or EX clearing event stages.
- Engaging with Boosted Mirror Dungeons.
- Uptying Identities.
- Claiming battle pass rewards.
- Making direct purchases.
Boosted Mirror Dungeons will likely become your most reliable source of Lunacy. You can tackle up to three of these dungeons each week, earning 750 Lunacy in total. Weekly resets happen every Wednesday, so plan accordingly. These dungeons can be challenging, so it's wise to bring your strongest Identities into battle.
Events offer another excellent opportunity to earn Lunacy. They are time-limited, so make the most of them when they're available. Don't forget to thoroughly review the event rewards to ensure you don't miss out on any additional goodies.
Uptying involves upgrading your Sinners' Identities and EGOs. As you increase their Uptie tier, their power grows. Reaching Uptie Tier 3 rewards you with 40 Lunacy. Though this method has its limits compared to Mirror Dungeons, it's a long-term strategy for Lunacy accumulation. Continue leveling up your characters and gather Threads to eventually Uptie your entire roster.
Lastly, the game's battle passes offer a wealth of resources for enhancing your Sinners, including Lunacy. While the free tracks provide some rewards, accessing all the benefits will require a real-money purchase.
