Infinity Nikki Version 1.5 Controversy Compensation Offered

Infinity Nikki offers compensation for the issues encountered in version 1.5's release. Dive deeper to discover what players will receive due to the game's shortcomings and what developer Infold Games plans to do next.

Infinity Nikki Version 1.5 Updates

Free Diamonds as Compensation

Infinity Nikki launched version 1.5 to much excitement from fans, with developer Infold Games promising a host of new features. However, the update fell short of expectations, leading to numerous technical issues and bugs across various platforms that made the game unplayable for some. In a tweet (X post) on May 18, Infold Games acknowledged the "unstable game environment and unsatisfactory content" and offered compensation to players.

The update also introduced sudden changes, such as increasing the cost of 5-star outfits from 9 or 10 pieces to 11 pieces, thereby raising the maximum pulls needed to complete an outfit to 220. This made acquiring full sets more costly and time-consuming. Furthermore, the new dye system was met with confusion and frustration, requiring players to unlock color palettes for each clothing item. The Threads of Reunion storyline was removed as the outfit associated with the event is still under development. Infold Games stated, "Due to technical hurdles in Version 1.5, we were unable to properly refine the introduction of the Sea of Stars chapter and the narrative setup for Threads of Reunion, which regrettably led to confusion."

In response to player feedback, Infold Games announced, "As compensation for Version 1.5's shortcomings and schedule changes, all stylists will receive Diamond 120 and Energy Crystal 1 every day from June 5 to June 12, totaling Diamond 960 and Energy Crystal 8." While compensation was offered, the studio has yet to outline specific plans for fixing the issues. Fans expressed their concerns in the comments, focusing on the pity change, the dye system's shortcomings, and other bugs.

Due to the problematic release of version 1.5, Infold Games has decided to extend the duration of version 1.5 to address the issues. Consequently, version 1.6's release has been delayed until June 12, 2025, affecting the in-game events' schedule. The new weekly task, Starlit Pursuit, originally set for May 20, will now debut in version 1.6. Infold Games explained, "This delay allows us to refine task mechanics for a smoother experience. Additional details will be announced at a later date—please stay tuned." As compensation for this delay, players will receive 360 Starlit Crystals.

Infold Games is only beginning to tackle the issues brought about by version 1.5. "There are also unlisted adjustments under discussion. Some changes require extended development cycles, but we commit to implementing them through phased updates," they stated.

To improve communication with players, Infold Games is launching the Miraland Round Table initiative, allowing players to send their concerns and feedback directly to the developers. Players can participate by emailing the game’s official email account with "Table Advisor" in the subject line or using the Customer Service option in-game.
