Floatopia Is Coming To Android, And It Has Strong Animal Crossing Energy
NetEase Games unveiled their charming life simulation game, Floatopia, at Gamescom. Expected to launch on multiple platforms, including Android, sometime in 2025, Floatopia presents a whimsical world of floating islands and unique characters. The trailer depicts a post-apocalyptic, yet idyllic, setting where players cultivate crops, fish amongst the clouds, and personalize their airborne island homes.
A Cute Apocalypse
Floatopia's world is one of fragmented lands suspended in the sky, inhabited by individuals possessing diverse, and sometimes underwhelming, superpowers. The game emphasizes the potential hidden within seemingly insignificant abilities.
Players assume the role of Island Manager, engaging in activities reminiscent of titles like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley. Beyond farming and fishing, players can explore exotic locations, meet new characters, and host island parties. Multiplayer is optional, allowing for solitary or social gameplay.
The game features a diverse cast of characters with unique personalities and abilities.
While a precise release date remains unconfirmed, pre-registration is available on the official website.
