It's always disheartening when a beloved feature is removed from your favorite pastime, whether it's gaming, tabletop games, or something else. However, there's exciting news for fans of Conflict of Nations: WW3, as a popular feature is making a triumphant return. The game is reintroducing the much-loved clan vs clan battles with the Elite Challenges mode.

So, how do Elite Challenges work? They are team-based battles where alliances can engage in epic wars of strategy against one another. What sets Elite Challenges apart from regular alliance challenges is that participants must be at least rank 25 and are not allowed to use gold. This creates a level playing field, making it the ultimate test of skill and strategy for Conflict of Nations enthusiasts.

To celebrate the return of this feature, two challenge maps will be available: the Mediterranean and Antarctica. Elite Challenges also offer unique advantages, such as 2x starting resources, production, and access to the tech tree on day 10. This allows for larger armies and more diverse use of technology, setting these matches apart from standard games.

However, as Dorado Games has noted, implementing this mode became increasingly challenging as the player base grew. The decision to eliminate premium currency in favor of an entirely skill-based competition is likely to be welcomed by nearly all players.
