The Yellow Orb is located in a town known as Merchantburg. However, in the game, this town is initially labeled as ??? because its name is derived from the merchant you hire and leave behind to develop the town. For example, if you name your merchant Christopher, the town will be called Christopherburg. To obtain the Yellow Orb, you must help establish and nurture this village.

After securing the Black Pepper for the King of Portoga and obtaining your Ship, you can set sail to locate Merchantburg. With quest markers enabled, you'll find the Merchantburg quest marker in the northeast corner of the map. Sail west from the coast to reach the easternmost edge of the eastern continent.
When Should I Visit Merchantburg?

### How to Establish Merchantburg in Dragon Quest 3 Remake:
Before heading to Merchantburg (???), visit PALS in Aliahan to hire a new Merchant. Travel directly to the town to minimize combat, as your new party member will be vulnerable.
Upon arriving at Merchantburg, enter the only building available. Inside, you'll meet an old man eager to start a new town but in need of a Merchant. Offer your new Merchant as a candidate, and they will leave your party to establish the town, which will then be officially named.
Returning to Merchantburg:
After establishing the town, continue your journey to obtain the Purple Orb from Orochi's Lair and the Blue Orb from Gaia's Navel. As you progress, you'll receive notifications to return to Merchantburg.
Merchantburg will undergo five stages of growth. Each time you return, the town will have expanded, culminating in the construction of a large club. On your fourth visit, you'll notice your Merchant becoming somewhat arrogant, signaling the nearing end of their reign and the impending availability of the Yellow Orb.
How to Get the Yellow Orb:
On your fifth and final visit, arrive at night. You'll find that the Merchant is no longer at home. Inside their residence, you'll learn that the town has revolted, imprisoning the Merchant in a jail cell located in the house just south of their home.
Enter the jail and speak with the Merchant. They will explain the situation and reveal the location of the Yellow Orb. After the conversation, return to the Merchant's home. A quest marker will appear behind the sofa; interact with the ground there to uncover the Yellow Orb.
For most players, the Yellow Orb will be the second-to-last orb obtained. The Red Orb can be found at the Pirates' Den, the Green Orb in Theddon, and the Silver Orb in the Maw of the Necrogond/Necrogond Shrine.
