How to Craft & Fix Shoes in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Maintaining your footwear is crucial in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This guide details how to acquire and repair shoes, ensuring you're never left wandering barefoot.
Acquiring Shoes:
While you begin with a pair, your initial footwear won't last forever. Fortunately, several options exist for replenishing your shoe supply:
- Loot: Search chests and fallen enemies (poachers, etc.) for potential shoe finds.
- Purchase: Tailors sometimes sell shoes, though often with inferior stats. For superior footwear, seek out a cobbler. One is located early in the game in Trosky; their map icon resembles three red circles.
Cobblers, like Matthew in Trosky, offer a variety of goods beyond just shoes, including horse equipment, blacksmith's kits, and cobbler's kits.
Repairing Shoes:
Two methods exist for repairing worn shoes:
-
NPC Repair: Cobblers and blacksmiths offer repair services. The cost depends on your Craftsmanship skill level; higher levels unlock percentage discounts.
-
Self-Repair: This requires a Cobbler's Kit and sufficient Craftsmanship skill. Kits can be purchased from various vendors or found through looting and chests. To use a kit, access your inventory, select the kit, and interact (typically "E" on PC). A repair menu will appear, showing repairable items. Faded items indicate insufficient skill.
This process applies equally to other gear using a Blacksmith's Kit. While vendor repairs are convenient, self-repairing is a viable alternative for skilled players. Maintaining well-maintained equipment is essential for survival.
