How to Change Outfit & Appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds
Character customization is a key element in any great RPG, and *Monster Hunter Wilds* truly shines in this area. If you're wondering how to tweak your hunter's look, you've come to the right place.
Changing Appearance in *Monster Hunter Wilds* (Hunter and Palico)

Let's start with your character's physical appearance. Monster Hunter Wilds boasts a detailed character creator, letting you craft a hunter that closely resembles yourself (or your wildest fantasy!). Need to make adjustments later? No problem. Once you've unlocked base camp, simply head to your tent and navigate to the Appearance Menu (using L1 or R1). Select "Change Appearance" to access the character creator and adjust your Hunter and Palico's looks.
How to Change Outfits and Use Layered Armor

The Layered Armor feature is available from the game's start. Again, go to your tent, access the Appearance Menu, and choose "Equipment Appearance." This lets you customize your Hunter's outfit with unlocked Layered Armor items. Remember, you're limited to what you've unlocked; you can't transmog your equipped armor with other armor types you've crafted. The same "Equipment Appearance" option allows you to customize your Palico's look with Layered Armor as well.
If Layered Armor isn't your style, the only other way to change outfits is by forging and equipping new armor. Just remember that each piece of equipment has different stats, so balance fashion with functionality!
Seikret Customization
The Appearance Menu also includes Seikret Customization. Here, you can alter your Seikret's skin and feather colors, patterns, decorations, and even eye color.
That's how to change your appearance and outfits in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more tips and tricks, be sure to check out The Escapist!
