About Hazari:

Hazari is a captivating 4-player card game played with a standard 52-card deck. Each player receives 13 cards, totaling 52 cards in play. Players arrange their cards from highest to lowest, signaling readiness by calling "up." Once all players are up, the player to the right of the dealer initiates the round by playing the first card.

The game progresses with players throwing cards in sets, and the highest value card wins the set, allowing the winner to lead the next play. After all cards are played, points are tallied: cards from Ace (A) to 10 are worth 10 points each, while cards from 9 to 2 are valued at 5 points each. The ultimate goal is to accumulate 1000 points over multiple games to emerge as the winner.

In case of ties, the player who threw the card later in the sequence wins. For example, if Player 1 plays AKQ of Hearts, Player 2 plays 678 of Spades, Player 3 plays AKQ of Diamonds, and Player 4 plays 55J of Hearts, Player 3 wins with AKQ of Diamonds.

Rules for Winning:

  • TROY: Three of a kind, e.g., AAA, KKK, QQQ, etc.
  • COLOR RUN: Three cards of the same suit in sequence, e.g., AKQ of Spades, A23 of Hearts, etc.
  • RUN: Three cards in sequence, regardless of suit, e.g., AKQ of mixed suits, A23 of mixed suits, etc.
  • COLOR: Three cards of the same suit, e.g., K83 of Spades, 639 of Hearts, etc. The highest card within the color determines the winner.
  • PAIR: Two cards of the same rank with an additional card, e.g., 443, 99J, QQ6, etc. The highest pair wins.
  • INDI or INDIVIDUALS: Three cards that do not form any of the above combinations, where the highest card determines the winner.

How to Play:

Players arrange their 13 cards into sets of 3, 3, 3, and 4. The game begins with one player throwing the first set of 3 cards, followed by the other players. The player with the highest value set wins and leads the next set. This continues until all cards are played, and the player with the highest value set in the final round of 4 cards wins it. The game continues until a player reaches 1000 points.
