Application Description
Introducing our versatile portable media player, which also functions as a UPnP DLNA Digital Media Renderer (DMR). This device excels in playing a wide range of media formats, including support for SSA/ASS/SUP subtitles, ensuring a comprehensive viewing experience. Users can access their files easily through the Storage Access Framework (SAF), allowing for personalized file management.
Our media player is equipped with full-featured SSA/ASS subtitle support, where users have the freedom to add or manage their preferred font files. These subtitles can be dimmed to accommodate the higher contrast and brightness of HDR and Dolby Vision (DV) playback, and the font size is fully adjustable to meet individual preferences.
In addition to SSA/ASS, this player also supports subtitles in SUP (Blu-ray) and VobSub (DVD) formats starting from version 5.1. Subtitles can be embedded within MKV files or loaded separately. Users can choose to play a single subtitle file or utilize files packaged in Zip/7Z/RAR formats during playback, offering great flexibility.
The player is designed to handle HDR and DV content smoothly, with features such as digital audio passthrough, MKV chapter navigation, frame-by-frame stepping, audio track selection with delay adjustments, and subtitle selection with time offset capabilities. It also displays frame rates and automatically adjusts the refresh rate for optimal viewing.
Successful Dolby Vision playback has been confirmed on the NVidia Shield TV 2019 model. Additionally, the player allows for on-demand video rotation and full-screen zooming via pinch gestures, enhancing user interaction with the content.
Originally crafted for segmented file playback, this player supports files presented in m3u8 (HLS media list) format. While traditionally designed for TS files, it now accommodates mp4 and flv files as well, expanding its compatibility.

Please note: This app must run in the foreground before initiating DLNA projection on some Android systems.
This update addresses several issues including fixes for subtitles auto-selection, the first chapter starting at 0:00, and new system adaptations. Users can now set their preferred default language for subtitles in the selection box. Additionally, you can select a subtitle file directly from the Storage Access Framework content page, which may be sourced from local storage, Samba/Windows sharing, or WebDAV clients, depending on your chosen SAF content provider apps. Efforts have also been made to resolve a DMR service crash bug, enhancing the stability of the player.
