Xbox Game Pass May 2025 Wave 1: Lineup Revealed

Microsoft has officially announced the Wave 1 lineup for Xbox Game Pass in May 2025. In a recent post on Xbox Wire, the tech giant revealed 12 games joining the subscription service, with updates rolling out until May 20. Among these titles, the standout release is Doom: The Dark Ages, the latest entry in id Software’s iconic FPS series. As a Microsoft-owned game, it launches day-one on Game Pass.

Joining the roster on May 6 is Dredge (available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S). Available across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, this single-player fishing adventure brings a sinister twist to the genre. Players can sell their catches, upgrade their boats, and dive into the depths to uncover long-lost secrets while exploring a mysterious archipelago.

On May 7, several notable games arrive. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) lands on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. Additionally, Dungeons of Hinterberg (Console), Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn (Xbox Series X|S), and Metal Slug Tactics (Console) join Game Pass Standard.

May 8 marks another major release with Revenge of the Savage Planet (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) launching on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as a day-one title. This game invites players to explore a bizarre alien world and exact revenge on a corporation responsible for their abandonment. Also on this day, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed (Cloud, Console, and PC) becomes available on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard.

May 13 sees the return of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (Cloud and Console) to Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard. This cooperative FPS offers intense first-person combat with new enemies, career paths, and gameplay mechanics.

The main event arrives on May 15 with the highly anticipated Doom: The Dark Ages. As a prequel to Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal, it delivers an epic narrative alongside early access and bonus content for Premium subscribers.

Following closely behind, on May 16, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo (Cloud, Console, and PC) launches on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as another day-one title. This papercraft adventure explores the lives of souls trapped in Limbo, reliving the same day endlessly.

Rounding out the Wave 1 lineup on May 20 are two simulation games: Firefighting Simulator: The Squad (Cloud, Console, and PC) and Police Simulator: Patrol Officers (Cloud, Console, and PC), both available across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard.

Games leaving Xbox Game Pass on May 15 include Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Chants of Sennaar, Dune: Spice Wars, Hauntii, and The Big Con. Members can use their subscription discount to save up to 20% on these titles if they wish to keep them in their personal libraries.
