Monster Hunter Wilds February Open Beta Features New Monsters and Content
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Don't fret! A second chance arrives in early February, bringing new monsters and content. Here's the scoop on how to join the hunt.
Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Part 2: A New Challenge Awaits
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced a second Open Beta Test, offering another opportunity to experience Monster Hunter Wilds before its February 28th launch. This follows the successful first beta.
The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time, players can tackle the Gypceros, a familiar foe from the series – a new addition not featured in the initial beta.
Character data from the first beta carries over, transferable to the full game upon release. However, progress won't be saved. Beta participants receive rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a helpful bonus item pack for the full game.
Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, citing player requests to participate or replay. While recent community updates detailed planned improvements, these won't be included in this beta phase, as they're still under development.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S February 28th, 2025. Get ready to hunt!
