Продюсер Рёдзо Цудзимото объявил о втором открытом бета-тестировании, предлагая еще одну возможность испытать Monster Hunter Wilds до его запуска 28 февраля. Это следует за успешной первой бета-версией.

Бета-тестирование будет проходить в два сеанса: 6–9 февраля и 13–16 февраля и доступно на ПК, PlayStation 5 и Xbox Series X|S. На этот раз игроки смогут сразиться с Гипсеросом, знакомым противником из серии — новым дополнением, которого не было в первоначальной бета-версии.

Данные персонажей из первой бета-версии переносятся и могут быть перенесены в полную версию игры после ее выпуска. Однако прогресс не сохранится. Участники бета-тестирования получают награды: брелок для оружия «Мягкая кошачья мишка» и полезный бонусный набор предметов для полной версии игры.
