Machinarium Free on Epic Games Store This Week

The Epic Games Store is offering another free mobile game, and this time, it's Machinarium. From August 28 to September 4, 2025, you can claim this Android title at no cost worldwide.
Machinarium is an award-winning point-and-click adventure celebrated for its hand-drawn artwork and non-verbal narrative. First released in 2009, it was developed by Amanita Design, the studio also responsible for Samorost, Botanicula, and Chuchel.
What do you do in the game?
You play as Josef, a small, dome-headed robot who starts his adventure after being discarded in a scrap yard. After putting himself back together, he journeys toward the fabled robot metropolis, Machinarium, a rusty city teeming with eccentric characters.
Josef soon uncovers the Black Cap Brotherhood, a gang of villainous robots scheming to cause chaos, and he is falsely imprisoned. His simple escape plan evolves into a grander mission to save the city, rescue his girlfriend Berta, and thwart the Brotherhood's evil plans.
The gameplay includes logic puzzles, brain teasers, mini-games, and even occasional tasks like crafting a new hat for Josef. Characters don't use spoken dialogue but express themselves through comic-style thought bubbles and animations.
All backgrounds and characters are beautifully hand-drawn in 2D, accompanied by an atmospheric soundtrack from Floex, who also composed the music for Samorost 2.
