As the Natlan Archon Quest in Genshin Impact nears its conclusion, the game's lore unveils long-anticipated secrets, and the combat challenges evolve accordingly. Each nation in Genshin Impact boasts two weekly bosses, and the formidable Lord of Eroded Primal Fire stands out, perhaps even surpassing others in difficulty.

This colossal dual-sworded dragon embodies the primal essence that once ruled Natlan. With Gosoythoth's fearsome appearance, the boss distinctly channels the malevolent energy of the Abyss. Similar to the Riftwolves from Inazuma, it employs the Corrosion effect, making the battle challenging but not insurmountable. Here's a comprehensive guide on conquering the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire in Genshin Impact.

Where To Find The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact

The Lord of Eroded Primal Fire resides within the Stone Stele Records domain, located just south of the Statue of Seven near the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe. This domain is housed in a shrine commemorating the lives lost during the Natlan battle. Players can claim the usual rewards using 30 Original Resin for the first three Bosses of the week upon entering the domain.

To unlock this boss and gain free access to the domain, players must complete the final chapter of the Archon Quest: When All Becomes A Monument. Alternatively, players can bypass the story and enter through the Quick Challenge option in the Adventurer's Handbook.

How To Beat The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact

Successfully defeating the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire often requires the use of Natlan-specific characters such as Mavuika, Kinich, Citlali, and Mualani. Despite its stationary nature for much of the fight, the dragon will summon three Pillars and three Tenebrous Mimiflora, which are more easily defeated with characters possessing Nightsoul Blessings.

Make Sure To Destroy The Three Pillars With Nightsoul Blessing

While it's possible to destroy the summoned Pillars with other characters, the process is significantly slower. Utilizing Natlan characters like Mavuika, Citlali, Kinich, or Kachina will drastically reduce the time needed to break the shields, thereby canceling the Eroded Meteor strike. Destroying the pillars immobilizes the Dragon for approximately 10 seconds, allowing for quick damage before it recovers.

However, if the pillars aren't destroyed in time, the meteor attack will commence. Ensure you are equipped with a shield and switch to a healer during this phase. Healers like Furina, Kokomi, Kuki, Barbara, or Bennett are essential to counter the corrosion effect that can penetrate shields and deal substantial damage. Without a shield, even full HP can be obliterated in one hit.

Try Your Best To Dodge Or Stay Underneath The Dragon

Dodging the dragon's unpredictable attacks can be challenging, especially when it transforms into smoke and moves erratically. Its attacks, including sword slashes and smashes, can drastically alter the battlefield, making navigation and evasion more difficult. With the boss having more HP than others, this fight may take longer.

A strategy involves staying close and attacking from underneath the dragon. However, be cautious of its Eroded Dragon Breath attack, which inflicts Pyro and Erosion damage when it impales the swords into the ground. Staying close to its hands can offer a safe zone, as the Dragon Breath doesn't reach there. Immediate healing after taking a hit is crucial to neutralize the Erosion effect.

Co-Op Mode and Matching

Co-Op Mode can be a valuable asset in this fight, especially if you lack Natlan characters. Teaming up with others who have characters with Nightsoul Blessings can significantly ease the Pillar phase. Simply select the 'Match' button when entering the Domain to join another player's world for a more manageable battle.

Fortunately, this fight does not have multiple phases, but it does require a considerable amount of time and strategic planning to overcome.
