Dark and Darker Mobile Gets Renamed

Krafton has officially rebranded Dark and Darker Mobile as Abyss of Dungeons, marking a strategic shift away from Ironmace Studios' ongoing legal disputes with Nexon. Beyond the title change and potential removal of Dark & Darker-specific elements, the game appears otherwise unchanged.
The Legal Backstory
Ironmace Studios remains entangled in Nexon's lawsuit alleging trade secret misappropriation. Nexon claims former employees improperly used company assets when developing Dark and Darker. While awaiting resolution, Krafton's rebranding of the mobile version signals their effort to distance the project from these controversies.
Same Game, Different Name
The core gameplay reportedly remains unaffected by the rebranding. Dark and Darker Mobile had already distinguished itself from the PC original through its third-person perspective and other modifications prior to becoming Abyss of Dungeons.
What This Means For Fans
While disappointing for Ironmace supporters, Abyss of Dungeons serves as Krafton's continuation of the concept through different branding. The mobile title prepares for its June 11th soft launch in Brazil, Thailand, Indonesia, and Mexico.
