6 Cartoon Network Games Have Been Delisted
Warner Bros. Discovery's sudden removal of several Cartoon Network and Adult Swim games has sparked significant backlash from fans. Without explanation, at least six titles disappeared from digital storefronts like Steam and the Nintendo eShop on December 23rd, 2024. This action follows a similar incident in March 2024, where several Adult Swim games faced delisting before a public outcry led to their reprieve. This time, however, the response has been less successful.
The affected games include fan favorites and cult classics, leaving players unable to legally purchase them. The titles removed are:
- Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest
- Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games
- OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes
- Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time
- Steven Universe: Save the Light
- Steven Universe: Unleash the Light
The oldest game on the list, Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest, debuted in April 2014. Others, like Steven Universe: Save the Light and OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes, were released in 2018, with Steven Universe: Unleash the Light following in 2021. The removal of Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is particularly upsetting to fans, as it contains the canonical conclusion to the show's fifth season.
While some Cartoon Network games remain available (e.g., Cartoon Network Journeys VR, Monsters Ate My Birthday Cake), and the soundtrack for OK K.O.! Let's Play Heroes is still for sale, the lack of explanation from Warner Bros. Discovery, Cartoon Network Games, and Adult Swim Games has fueled fan anger and frustration. The company's cost-cutting measures, which have previously impacted films and streaming services, appear to be extending to their video game catalog.
