2025 Oscar Noms: Emilia Pérez, Wicked, The Brutalist Lead
The nominations for the 97th Academy Awards have been unveiled, with Jacques Audiard's Spanish crime thriller Emilia Pérez dominating this year's race with an impressive 13 nods – making it the most nominated non-English language film in Oscar history.
Rachel Sennott and Bowen Yang announced the nominees during a January 23 livestream on the Oscars YouTube channel. The groundbreaking Emilia Pérez secured nominations across major categories including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Lead Actress for Karla Sofía Gascón.
Close behind were Wicked and The Brutalist with 10 nominations each, followed by Conclave and A Complete Unknown with eight nominations apiece.
