En un video reciente de la serie de voz del creador de Nintendo, Naoki Hamaguchi, el director de la serie de remake de Final Fantasy, anunció que la nueva versión de Final Fantasy VII Intergrade se lanzará en la próxima Nintendo Switch 2.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade es una versión mejorada del juego 2020 PS4, Remake de Final Fantasy VII, que es la primera entrega en una trilogía rehaciendo el icónico RPG de PS1 de 1997, Final Fantasy VII. Intergrade, disponible en PS5 y PC, cuenta con gráficos e iluminación actualizados en comparación con la versión de PS4, junto con el DLC de intermedio, que presenta la historia del enérgico Ninja Yuffie en Midgar.

Hamaguchi destacó que las capacidades mejoradas del Switch 2 permitirán que el juego se realice plenamente en la nueva plataforma portátil de Nintendo. "Con la potencia del Switch 2, ahora podemos recrear Midgar con especificaciones completas", explicó. También enfatizó la conveniencia de jugar el juego sobre la marcha, declarando: "Poder jugar este juego en el Switch 2 en el modo portátil significa que puedes jugar en el tren mientras viajas al trabajo". Esta portabilidad, agregó, facilitará las discusiones directas y el intercambio del progreso del juego con los demás.

La versión Switch 2 de Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade incluirá Gamechat, una característica que permite a los jugadores comunicarse con amigos y compartir sus pantallas en tiempo real.
