Benedict Cumberbatch ha confirmado que su personaje del Universo Cinematográfico de Marvel, el Doctor Strange, no aparecerá en la próxima película colectiva "Avengers: Doomsday", pero está previsto que desempeñe un papel fundamental en su secuela, "Avengers: Secret Wars".

En una entrevista con Variety, Cumberbatch exclamó: "¡qué le importa!", tras darse cuenta de que había compartido accidentalmente un spoiler, y luego explicó la participación de su personaje en proyectos futuros.
