Según nuevos informes, Legendary Pictures ha elegido a la estrella emergente Callina Liang para interpretar a la legendaria luchadora Chun-Li en su próxima película de acción en vivo de Street Fighter.

Deadline confirma que la actriz ha firmado oficialmente para el papel protagónico femenino clave. Este casting marca otro avance importante para el proyecto, que se prepara para su estreno previsto el 20 de marzo de 2026.

Liang inició su carrera actoral en la serie de 2022 Tell Me Everything, antes de participar en Foundation (2023) y dos aclamadas películas de 2024: Presence de Steven Soderbergh y Bad Genius de J.C. Lee.
