WoW Announces Second Turbulent Timeways Timewalking Event
World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways!
World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, and this time it's even bigger. Running for seven consecutive weeks until February 24th, this event offers a non-stop Timewalking experience across various expansions. Prepare to earn fantastic rewards, including a wealth of Timewarped Badges, an experience boost, and a chance to snag the coveted Timely Buzzbee mount!
This extended event builds upon the successful five-week run from September 2023. Players once again have the opportunity to earn the Mastery of Timeways buff, providing a 20% experience increase after completing four Timewalking dungeons. This time, however, achieving Mastery of Timeways in five out of the seven weeks unlocks the Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement and its charming Timely Buzzbee mount reward.
The Timewalking Tour:
The seven-week journey through WoW's history begins with Mists of Pandaria on January 7th and concludes with Cataclysm the week of February 18th. Each week features a different expansion, offering familiar Timewalking dungeons, quests, and raids.
Event Schedule:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
More Than Just Timewalking:
Beyond the standard Timewalking activities, this event boasts some exciting additions. Timewalking vendors across all expansions feature permanent new items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Players who missed the Sandy Shalewing pet from the previous Turbulent Timeways event can also obtain it this time around. Furthermore, completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest rewards Heroic-level gear throughout the event's duration.
Looking Ahead:
With the recent 20th-anniversary event's 11 weeks of Timewalking already in the rearview mirror, this adds up to a whopping 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking! The Turbulent Timeways' February 24th conclusion date is also highly suggestive. Considering Blizzard's typical eight-week release cycle and the holiday season, this strongly points towards a February 25th launch for World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, Undermined – a fitting follow-up to Patch 11.0.7, ten weeks prior. Coupled with the second run of Plunderstorm (January 14th-February 17th) and the imminent major content update for The War Within, World of Warcraft is poised for a thrilling start to 2025.
