War Thunder is Dropping Its Firebirds Update With New Aircraft Soon!
Gaijin Entertainment has unveiled exciting news for War Thunder players: the Firebirds update, arriving in early November, will introduce a fleet of new aircraft and other military hardware. This major update boasts a significant addition of iconic aircraft.
New Aircraft in War Thunder's Firebirds Update
The update features a diverse range of aircraft, including the legendary American F-117 stealth attack aircraft, the Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber, and the powerful F-15E Strike Eagle, among others. New ground vehicles and warships are also included, such as the British FV107 Scimitar light tank and the French Dunkerque battleship.
Let's examine some key additions. The F-117A Nighthawk marks War Thunder's first introduction of stealth technology. Its unique design, incorporating hard edges, sharp angles, radar-absorbing materials, and ferromagnetic paint, minimizes radar and infrared detection. The aircraft's engines are also strategically shielded. Its real-world performance during Operation Desert Storm, completing over 1,200 combat sorties without loss, highlights its effectiveness.
The F-15E Strike Eagle, an enhanced version of the F-15 fighter, prioritizes raw power. Boasting a 50% larger payload than its predecessor, it’s equipped with a ground target detection radar. Its arsenal includes AGM-65 Maverick missiles, laser-guided bombs, JDAM navigation-guided bombs, and the GBU-39 satellite-guided bombs (delivering 20 at once). Its inclusion underscores its crucial role in the U.S. Air Force.
Beyond the Skies: Ground and Naval Forces
The Firebirds update expands beyond aircraft. Ground forces receive reinforcements with the addition of the agile British FV107 Scimitar and the formidable French Dunkerque battleship.
The Aces High season is also underway, offering unique vehicles, trophies, and rewards for Battle Pass completion. This includes aircraft like the Bf 109 G-14, F2G-1, and La-11, along with powerful platoons such as the T54E2 and G6, and ships like the HMS Orion and USS Billfish.
