Valheim Merchant Locations and Inventory Guide: Finding Haldor, Hildir, and the Bog Witch

Valheim's challenging world is made slightly easier by the presence of merchants. These traders offer valuable items, but their locations are procedurally generated, making them difficult to find. This guide details the location and inventory of each merchant: Haldor (Black Forest), Hildir (Meadows), and the Bog Witch (Swamp).

How to Find Haldor (Black Forest Merchant)

Haldor, arguably the easiest to locate, spawns within a 1500m radius of the world center. He resides in the Black Forest biome. He's often found near The Elder's spawn point (identified by glowing ruins in Burial Chambers). For a quicker search, use the Valheim World Generator (created by wd40bomber7) to pinpoint his exact location on your world seed. Once found, build a portal for easy access. Gold is needed to trade; sell gems (Rubies, Amber Pearls, Silver Necklaces, etc.) to acquire it.

How to Find Hildir (Meadows Merchant)

Hildir resides in the Meadows biome, but her spawn is farther from the world center than Haldor's. The Valheim World Generator is the fastest way to find her. Alternatively, search Meadows within a 3000-5100m radius of the world center (spawn points are ~1000m apart). A T-shirt icon appears on the map when you're close. Build a portal after locating her.

Hildir offers clothing with stamina reduction buffs and quests to find lost items. These quests lead to new dungeons (Smouldering Tombs, Howling Caverns, Sealed Towers) and unlock additional inventory items.

The Bog Witch, located in the Swamp biome, is found between 3000m and 8000m from the world center (spawn points ~1000m apart). Due to the Swamp's difficulty, consider upgrading your gear before searching. Use the Valheim World Generator or look for her Cauldron icon on the map. Build a portal once located.
