Sony recently announced policy adjustments. While PSN tethering for PC remains, certain concessions have been made. PSN tethering will be optional in the following games:

• God of War Ragnarök
• The Last of Us Part II Remastered
• Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered

Players opting for PSN tethering will receive these bonuses:

• Marvel's Spider-Man 2: Early access to the "2099" suit line for Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
• God of War Ragnarök: The Black Bear armor set, early access to the "Lost Things" chest, and resource packs.
• The Last of Us Part II Remastered: Bonus points for unlocking features.
• Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered: The Nora Valiant costume.

In November investor discussions, COO Hiroki Totoki acknowledged the backlash against PSN connection requirements, emphasizing their importance for security and order.
