If you're a fan of video games and looking to pick up some cool replicas or figurines while traveling, you might want to think twice before packing anything that resembles a Call of Duty weapon in your baggage. A recent post by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) sheds light on prohibited items, spotlighting a replica figurine of the Monkey Bomb from Call of Duty's Zombies mode. As reported by Dexerto, TSA officers at Boston Logan International Airport discovered this item in a checked bag.

Image credit: Transportation Security Administration - TSA / Facebook. The Monkey Bomb, or Cymbal Monkey, is a familiar sight in numerous Call of Duty titles, from World at War to Black Ops 6. This particular figurine is designed as a controller holder, with its hands outstretched to cradle your favorite game controller. However, it's also a replica of a weapon that looks like it's equipped with dynamite and cables.

"This monkey may rack up points in a game, but in real life, leave the gear for your loadout screen, not your baggage," the TSA's post advised. "Replica weapons and explosives, no matter how cool or collectible, aren't allowed in either carry-on or checked baggage."

The TSA's website provides further details on prohibited toy weapons, which include "squirt guns, Nerf guns, toy swords, or other items that resemble realistic firearms or weapons." This might even serve as a testament to the high-quality craftsmanship of the Monkey Bomb replica.

It's crucial to be aware of these regulations, especially if you're heading to a convention or any place where you might pick up gaming merchandise. Whether it's a Monkey Bomb figurine or a set of Naruto-themed throwing knives, the TSA warns that any item in checked or carry-on baggage that they believe poses a security threat—even if it's just a replica—is prohibited.
