Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Launches Closed Beta on Android and PC

Netmarble's upcoming Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, an action-adventure title based on George R.R. Martin's books and HBO's series, is launching a closed beta. The beta, running from January 15th to the 22nd in the US, Canada, and select European regions, is now accepting Android applications.

Unlike previous Game of Thrones mobile games focused on strategy, Kingsroad offers a third-person perspective, placing players in the role of a House Tyrell heir. Players will explore Westeros, battle enemies, and build prestige.

The game's trailer showcases Witcher-esque gameplay, featuring third-person combat and exploration, with three character classes: Sellsword, Knight, and Assassin. While visually impressive, the true test lies in gameplay.

Closed Beta Registration:

Registration for the closed beta is open until January 12th. While the game looks promising, it will undoubtedly face scrutiny from the dedicated Game of Thrones fanbase. Monetization and long-term support will be key factors in its success. However, if Netmarble delivers, it could satisfy the demand for an immersive Game of Thrones experience.
