Stardew Valley developer, ConcernedApe, has announced via social media that a Nintendo Switch patch addressing the game-breaking divorce crash and raccoon shop bugs will be released soon. While these issues have already been resolved on PC, mobile, and other consoles, the Switch update remains in development.

Since its 2016 release, Stardew Valley has received numerous updates and improvements. Its charming pixel art, relaxing gameplay, and consistent updates have maintained its popularity. ConcernedApe regularly addresses community-reported bugs and adds new content. A recent update resolving persistent issues is nearing release on the Nintendo Switch.

ConcernedApe confirmed on Twitter that the Stardew Valley patch fixing the divorce crash and raccoon shop problems is "still coming," though a specific release date remains unannounced. The developer assures players it will be released as soon as possible. Following the launch of update 1.6, these and other issues were reported. While these have been addressed on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, the Switch patch is now nearing completion, almost 20 days after ConcernedApe initially announced its development.

Stardew Valley Switch Patch: Fixes for Divorce Crash and Raccoon Shop Imminent

Stardew Valley's major update 1.6, released on PC in March, introduced significant new content, including expanded NPC interactions with personalized gift reactions, the Meadowlands Farm, and new festivals and events. Visual enhancements, such as waterfalls, holiday decorations, and seasonal world map variations, were also included.

Despite resolving many issues, update 1.6 inadvertently introduced new problems. The update's November rollout to consoles and mobile platforms revealed several bugs, including game-breaking ones. A swift emergency patch addressed mobile issues on November 15th, while fixes for other platforms continued.

The Stardew Valley community appreciates ConcernedApe's open communication and responsiveness. Although the Switch patch addressing the divorce crash and raccoon shop is not yet available, players can be confident that the developer is actively working on its imminent release.
