The Sims 1 and 2 might come back to PC very soon
The Sims franchise's 25th anniversary is in full swing, and while Electronic Arts has unveiled its celebratory roadmap, unanticipated announcements are still possible.
A recent Sims teaser hints at the series' first two installments, sparking fan speculation about their potential return. While unconfirmed, Kotaku sources suggest a possible digital PC release of The Sims 1 and 2, complete with their original expansion packs, by the end of the week. This announcement is expected from EA and Maxis Games.
The possibility of console releases, and their timing, remains uncertain. However, EA is unlikely to forgo the lucrative opportunity presented by capitalizing on players' nostalgic fondness for these classic titles.
Given the age of The Sims 1 and 2, and the near absence of legitimate avenues for playing them today, their return would undoubtedly be met with enthusiastic reception from longtime fans.
