A schizophrenic fan found inspiration in Arkham Knight getting one of the legendary Kevin Conroy's latest videos in return

In 2020, a deeply affected Batman: Arkham Knight player battling schizophrenia commissioned a short video message from Kevin Conroy through the Cameo service. Anticipating a typical 30-second greeting, he instead received over six minutes of profoundly compassionate encouragement. Conroy, touched by the fan's personal account, went above and beyond a standard response. This video became a crucial lifeline for the fan during incredibly challenging times.

A moving Reddit post detailed the gamer's experience. The game's conclusion, depicting Batman conquering his inner demons – fear, paranoia, and hallucinations – resonated deeply with the fan's own struggles with schizophrenia. Expressing gratitude, he shared his condition and how Batman's journey empowered him.

Expecting a standard Cameo video, he was overwhelmed by Conroy's extensive, empathetic message.

The fan shared: "This video has saved me from suicide countless times. Hearing Batman say he believed in me was incredibly powerful... But as time went on, it became just as important that it was Kevin himself who believed in me."

Initially hesitant to share the video publicly, the fan's decision to post it stemmed from learning about Conroy's own family experience with schizophrenia. He hoped it would offer similar solace to others.

He added: "If someone in his family asks me to delete this video, I will of course do so. But it has inspired me in my toughest moments, and maybe it will inspire someone else. Hang in there. Because Batman believes in you."

The passing of Kevin Conroy, the iconic voice of Batman, on November 10, 2022, at the age of 66, is a profound loss. However, his enduring words and legacy continue to inspire countless individuals worldwide.
