The highly anticipated battle royale platformer Sonic Rumble has begun pre-registration for Android, iOS, and PC. Developed by Rovio, now part of Sega, this marks the blue hedgehog's most ambitious mobile adventure to date.

This 32-player battle royale lets you take control of fan-favorite characters from the iconic Sega series. Choose from core heroes like Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, supporting cast members such as Amy Rose and Rouge the Bat, or beloved figures like Big the Cat and Metal Sonic. Even the notorious Dr. Eggman joins the competition.

With pre-registration now live, players can unlock rewards by reaching specific milestones. The first reward at 200,000 registrations grants 5,000 Rings, while subsequent tiers remain unspecified. The ultimate prize is an exclusive Sonic skin inspired by the movie.

While some may question Rovio's shift to Sonic games, this project offers the studio a chance to demonstrate their capabilities beyond Angry Birds.
