Where to Find Rosa’s Book in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (KCD2)
Finding Rosa's Book in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: A Guide to a Crucial Side Quest
Missing side quests can lead to failure in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and Rosa's Book is one you don't want to overlook. This guide details its location and importance.
Prerequisites:
Before this quest becomes available, you must complete "Via Argentum" and begin "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family with Vavak (through combat or diplomacy), speak with Rosa. She'll reveal a secret passage to Maleshov, crucial for rescuing Hans, and request you retrieve a book for her. Accepting this request initiates "Rosa's Book."
Important Note: This quest is only accessible during "Taking French Leave." Leaving Maleshov with Hans without the book results in quest failure and prevents a potential romance with Rosa.
Locating the Book:
Upon entering Maleshov, Hans is located in the tallest tower. Use the external stairs to enter. Inside, you'll find another stairwell and a small kitchen. Wait for the guards patrolling the upper levels to move before proceeding.
Stealthily ascend the stairs to a room occupied by Lady Ofka. Knock her unconscious, then collect the keys from her person, the podium, and a sword from the chest. Rosa's book is located in a window alcove to the right of the fireplace – a red book. Grab it; your objective will update to returning it to Rosa.
Additional Tip: While in this room, retrieve the sword from the adjacent chest. This will save time later when preparing Hans and his unexpected guest. Unlock the door on the left on the top floor to trigger a cutscene.
Completing the Quest:
Follow the progression of "Taking French Leave." After navigating the stables, rescuing Hans, and returning to Kuttenberg City, deliver the book to Rosa at Ruthard Palace to complete "Rosa's Book."
This seemingly minor side quest holds significant weight, affecting potential romance options and the overall narrative. Don't miss out!
