REDMAGIC Nova Gaming Tablet Review
We've reviewed a number of REDMAGIC products at Droid Gamers, especially the impressive REDMAGIC 9 Pro. We previously crowned it the best gaming phone available, so it's no shock we're declaring the Nova the undisputed champion of gaming tablets.
Let's dive into five straightforward reasons why it earns this title. Shall we begin?
Look and Feel

This tablet clearly reflects a high level of craftsmanship and thoughtfulness, specifically tailored for gamers. It strikes a perfect balance—neither too light and fragile, nor overly heavy and uncomfortable for extended play sessions.
Its futuristic design includes a semi-transparent panel spanning the back, complemented by an RGB-lit REDMAGIC logo and a built-in RGB fan, giving it an authentic, premium feel.
During our testing, the tablet endured a few accidental knocks without a single scratch, proving its durability. It combines a stylish look with true ruggedness.
Unlimited Power
Well, perhaps not literally *unlimited* power. However, the Nova packs more than enough performance to dominate the tablet gaming arena.
Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and enhanced with DTS:X Ultra audio through a quad-speaker setup, this device is fully equipped to handle almost any game with incredible ease.
Solid Battery Life

Despite its powerful internals, the Nova's battery life proved to be excellent. A full charge consistently delivered between 8 to 10 hours of continuous gaming.
The battery does experience some drain in standby mode, but even the most graphically demanding titles we tested had a surprisingly minimal impact on power consumption.
An Excellent Gaming Experience
As noted, we tested a wide variety of games on the Nova and experienced zero slowdown or lag. The touchscreen was exceptionally responsive across all titles, and the internet connection was fast for both downloading apps and connecting to game servers.
Every game we played, from casual to hardcore, felt perfectly suited to the Nova. The tablet truly excels with competitive online games, however.
We consistently felt at an advantage over smartphone opponents, thanks to the larger, sharper screen and highly precise touch controls. Additionally, the Nova's superior audio quality ensured we caught every crucial sound cue in action-packed games.
Gamer-Centric Features

The Nova comes with bonus features that almost feel like having a secret weapon. These REDMAGIC-exclusive tools are accessible by swiping in from either side of the screen.
This menu provides quick access to overclocking modes, notification blocking, network prioritization, quick messaging, and brightness locking.
While the ability to resize your game screen offers a tactical edge, the most significant advantage is the option to configure automatic in-game triggers. For the record, we barely used these features. Really.
So, is it worth it?
In short, absolutely. For any tablet gamer, the REDMAGIC Nova is the ultimate choice on the market. While it has minor imperfections, they are completely overshadowed by its incredible performance and feature set. You can find it on the official REDMAGIC website by clicking here.
Well worth it
An essential purchase for anyone in the market for a dedicated gaming tablet. Enough said.
