Redeem Assassin

If you pre-ordered your copy of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you're in for a treat with some exclusive goodies to claim at the start of the game. Here’s a detailed guide on how to redeem your pre-order bonuses in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

How to Start Thrown to the Dogs in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

If you pre-ordered Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you'll have access to a unique quest called Thrown to the Dogs. This quest becomes available as soon as you gain control of Naoe and are free to explore the open world for the first time.

To begin, follow the quest marker on your map to locate a dog. You'll need to tail the dog to a nearby farm. Your next task is to find a key hidden underneath a house. Once you've retrieved the key, head back to the grave site where you first encountered the dog. Completing these steps will not only complete the quest but also forge a new friendship with the dog.

If you're struggling to find the key, keep an eye out for a small crawlspace at the base of the house. Naoe can go prone and squeeze into this space to grab the key. It's a bit tricky to spot, so take your time.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Preorder Bonuses

Upon successfully completing the Thrown to the Dogs quest, you'll unlock your pre-order bonuses, which include:

  • Tsuki-maru as a pet at the Hideout
  • 1,000 XP

While these bonuses might seem modest, they can be quite beneficial, especially in the early stages of the game. Tsuki-maru adds a charming presence to your Hideout, and the 1,000 XP boost can help you earn a few Mastery Points. These points can be used to enhance your skills, although you'll need to rank up your Knowledge to unlock more advanced abilities.

And that's all you need to know about redeeming your pre-order bonuses in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. For more tips and detailed information on the game, including what happens if you climb the torii gate and a complete list of all main quests, be sure to check out The Escapist.
