Rainbow Six Siege X is set to launch widely in June 2025 for both console and PC players, following its current closed beta phase. Ubisoft has hailed this update as the most significant content overhaul in the history of Rainbow Six Siege. The closed beta introduces the new Dual Front game mode, which features intense 6-on-6 team battles. This mode escalates the chaos with larger maps that demand strategic coordination for attacking and defending different areas while completing objectives. In addition to the new mode, Siege X promises revamped maps, a refreshed user interface, enhanced technical presentation, and a rebalanced matchmaking system designed to support newer players.

On March 13, 2025, Ubisoft unveiled a gameplay trailer for Rainbow Six Siege X to coincide with the start of its closed beta test. Excitingly, Siege X will also offer free-to-play access to attract new players.

The Rainbow Six Siege X closed beta is available from March 13 to March 19, exclusively for select partner players streaming on Twitch. Viewers tuning into these streams during the beta period have the opportunity to win access codes, valid for the six-day duration of the closed beta. To participate, players must link their Twitch account to their Ubisoft Connect account. Importantly, owning the original Rainbow Six Siege is not a prerequisite for joining the Siege X closed beta.

As of now, there are no plans for additional beta testing, including an open beta phase, leading up to the full release in June.
