Rainbow Six Siege X, a big upgrade to the popular esports game announced
It has become a tradition for developers of popular esports games to make significant announcements just before the grand finals of their world championships. Ubisoft, the developer behind Rainbow Six Siege, followed suit as the game approaches its tenth year. The anticipation was high, and Ubisoft did not disappoint!
Ubisoft unveiled Siege X, a major upgrade to Rainbow Six Siege. The developers clarified that Siege X is not a sequel but far more than a simple update. It's akin to the transformation from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to Counter-Strike 2—a substantial enhancement that feels like a new game while retaining all player progress and data from the original version.
More details about Siege X will be revealed during a special presentation scheduled for March 13. Ubisoft promises an exciting three-hour event with a live audience in Atlanta. To mark the tenth anniversary of Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft also released a special celebratory pack. This pack allows players to unlock legendary skins from the game's earliest seasons, offering a comprehensive collection in one convenient bundle.
